How to Share and Remix AI Games

How social remixing differs from normal game publishing.

Quick answer

Share a stable playable version with a clear one-line description; when remixing, credit the source and change a meaningful rule, theme or interaction.

Before you publish

What makes a worthwhile remix

Swap the control scheme, reverse the objective, introduce a new risk–reward rule or adapt the mechanic to a new format. Merely changing colors creates noise. Keep the original creator attribution provided by the platform.

Ask for useful feedback

Do not ask “Is it fun?” Ask where the player first felt confused, whether a failure felt fair and whether they wanted another run. Those answers produce actionable revisions.

Prepare the game for someone who has no context

A share link is not enough. A first-time player needs to understand the objective, controls and end condition without the creator standing beside them. Before publishing, remove placeholder text, confirm mobile and desktop controls where relevant, and test the exact public URL in a signed-out browser.

A useful remix contract

If you want people to remix the project, state what is safe to change and what should remain stable. Separate the core loop from theme, art and balance variables. This makes remixes more interesting and reduces the chance that a small visual change breaks scoring or replay.

Share-ready note

Goal: collect 20 stars before the 45-second timer ends. Drag to move. Missing three stars ends the run. Remix ideas: change the theme, star pattern or difficulty values; keep the timer, score and replay states intact.

Ask testers for observable feedback: where they first hesitated, whether they understood why the run ended, and whether they chose to replay. “It was fun” is encouraging but less actionable than a specific point of confusion.

Protect privacy and ownership while sharing

Remove personal photos, private prompts, test names and embedded credentials before making a project public. Check whether remixing exposes source, assets or uploaded media, and use only material you are comfortable allowing others to access under the platform's rules.

When remixing someone else's work, distinguish permission to remix inside the service from permission to export or sell the result elsewhere. Credit the source where appropriate and verify licenses for any included third-party assets. A platform remix button simplifies copying; it does not erase outside rights.
